Slow speech announcements

The good news: I love jog/run/sprint and it works well in general. I use it on iPhone 6. Recently the announcer that tells you when to jog, run, or sprint has started talking in slow motion. So instead of a brisk announcement to "jog", it sounds more like "Jawwwg". Same for run and sprint. Despite the slow speech the rest of the app works as before. I want the announcer to announce briskly, not like it was sleep deprived. Suggestions?
